ph34r t3h One Posted July 27, 2003 at 12:00 am

Description

Here’s the wallpaper I was working so hard on. It features an awesome slab of artwork, ph34r t3h cute ones 2.0, by Fred Gallagher. The Matrix style and shade of blue were inspired by wallpapers by Zero and DEUZ, respectively. I took a few screen captures from the Red Pill screen effects software, layered it with the Aqua Blue desktop picture by Apple and manipulated to hue, saturation, contrast and brightness controls to emulate the desired shade of blue. I never did quite perfect it but I was reasonably satisfied with the result.

I tried out ACDSee for a while. It used to be the defacto image viewing software back in the day. These days there are a few good, free programs like IrfanView that will give you most of the features that made ACDSee great. None of them seem to have a good thumbnail browser like this though.

My first experience with Samurize. Samurize is an extremely customizable system monitor program with meters for just about anything imaginable. As you can see, it can be placed as a desktop object and it also consumes virtually no CPU time. The only downside is that I don’t know how to make the nifty scripts like the one you see here.

The nifty wallpaper came from the small site of a Japanese CG artist. The whole thing flowed really nicely.

Flow of Eternity Posted May 18, 2003 at 12:00 am

I don’t rotate the themes on my PowerBook as often as on my desktop so it’s been a while since the last update. I’ve been using this theme for a few weeks now. The minimalist theme is gone now. I knew it couldn’t have lastest for long. Still using the default Aqua theme with a nice wallpaper this time. The wallpaper doesn’t have a name as far as I know. Check out the Misc/Other section on the linked site to find it.

I did want to share the nifty Strong Bad E-Mail Viewer with everybody. It basically does what it says and does it well. The author updates fairly frequently as new Homestar Runner tunes come out. It’s only available for Macs at the moment.

Directly inspired by the finale of Kiddy Grade. The wallpaper features Eclair and Lumiere in their final forms. The visual style, Rhodium2, marks the return of the legendary themer arhra. The original Rhodium Edge was one of the first and is still one of the finest visual styles ever conceived. What sets the series apart is its originality, unusual color scheme, and master craftsmanship.
