My co-workers forgot that today was my special day. I had to drop some hints to save them from later embarassment. They took me out for lunch at the El Bambo Mexican restaurant in Ashford. Vicki also presented me with a candy cake from the Petal Pusher.

We met Grammy and Granddad at Longhorn for dinner at 4 p.m where we were served by a pleasant Polish waitress. We all returned to my house afterward for cake and ice cream. I made off with a pair of Sennheiser HD280 Professional headphones, a Cribbage board, a “Last Exile” DVD, and additional funds. (Add to that list: a nice birthday card from MeMe and PaPa.) Grammy and Granddad helped me break in the Cribbage board with a game of three-hand.
