DOSBox is really cool. It lets me play old classics like Wolfenstein 3D and Darklands in XP and on my Mac!
I still don’t know what I’m going to do for the Ancient Greece project. I mean, I can always do a paper but that feels like a cop-out when I could do something easier and more interesting by going the artistic route.
The day just kind of flew by. I watched “Tsukihime” and even downloaded the game Melty Blood that it’s based on. Looks interesting, but I’m not getting much out of the story mode, what with the language barrier and all. There seems to be a translation project but it doesn’t seem that too much progress has been made.
I did manage to finish the matrix program before the end of the day. I need to get cracking on my design critique though. ECE 3042 has also been presenting some problems.
I received the results for my 3090 test from Wednesday. I was pleased with my results. I met with Bryan again to continue our adventures in statistical analysis. We managed to finish at the end of two hours this time. I also turned in all my materials for Tau Beta Pi and spent a couple hours in the ECE lab for another checkoff.
Snow and rain mixed to make it a miserable day to be out and about. The upper level of my parking deck was pure slush by the time I arrived at school. I’m told that we were the only school system in the area not to close. Honestly, the possibility didn’t even cross my mind.
Deadlines loom ever closer as Friday approaches. One of my goals for the day was to take care of stuff for my Tau Beta Pi membership. I was able to get signatures from a couple active members in my Japanese class, so that helped a lot. I also spent most of the evening hours finishing my bent and writing an essay on an ethical topic.
I met with Bryan for another ECE 4000 homework session. They’ve still got us doing statistical simulations, but at least it’s slightly more relevant than last time.
We had an interesting guest lecture in 4000. He talked about leadership and he had us perform the true colors exercise. It aims to make you aware of how others may perceive you.
I watched the first episode of “Shingetsutan Tsukihime”. It looks like an interesting series. High school kids and vampires, fun fun!
