Wednesday also became a pretty light day this week when 3090 was cancelled.
I spent large chunks of the day coding for the site. Wiki-style formatting has been in the works for a couple days now and I’ve begun performing some minor code cleanup in light of recent findings. The Wiki-style formatting is primarily a behind-the-scenes change, but it will enable me to edit and post content in a much more intuitive manner. Unfortunately, emulating said formatting perfectly has proved to be easier said than done. The current behavior is adequate for most tasks but I’ve found a few cases where there are problems.
Tuesday is my lightest day of the week, class-wise, which makes it ideal to ease me back into another week of classes after being sick over the long weekend. The day was pleasant enough, with no presentations to give in ECE 4000 recitation and a productive session of Japanese. We’ve begun studying “core conversations” in Japanese, which is basically a canned conversation that we are expected to perform with a partner. So far it’s been pretty simple with your standard meet and greet type dialogues.
Titus and I had lunch at Lil’ Dino’s between classes.
It’s the last day of the long weekend. I made good progress with ECE 3042 homework thanks in no small part to my PSpice reference by the name of Titus. I feel like I’ve learned more PSpice and Mathcad from the first couple weeks of 3042 than I ever did from 3041.
Activities for the day included “Fruits Basket,” “X,” “Love Hina,” Vol. 6, and a quick trip to Best Buy for a new printer cartridge.
We’ve started watching “Fruits Basket,” a delightful comedy with a cast of unique, and somewhat eccentric characters. It strikes me as remarkably fresh for some reason. It’s hard to place, but I think it has something to do with the characters or the presentation. Regardless, it definitely looks like any interesting series; and, since I’m still sick, I’ve got plenty of time to sit around and watch.
I’m starting to feel better but I’ve still got an annoying persistent sore throat. I can at least take it easy with no classes for the long weekend.
Titus and I finished the recently aired series “Ai Yori Aoshi ~Enishi~.” It’s still primarily a romance series but I was pleasantly surprised with the emphasis of friends and familial bonds that were strongly emphasized at the end of the series. Those expecting the relationship between Kaoru and Aoi to move forward dramatically may be disappointed. The series does, however, allow us to grow a little fonder for all the characters, particularly Tina.
