I hate it when I burn my mouth. It always takes several days to heal and eating is unpleasant until that time. Mom made a nice batch of cookies for me to take back with me and I tried one fresh out of the oven. It doesn’t take a brilliant mind to figure out that it was hot.
Last week was Spring Break at Georgia Tech so I headed back to Dothan, Alabama, to have some quality time with family and get those squeaky brakes fixed. It turned out that the brake pad on the front left wheel was very worn, much more than the front right wheel, which is a little unusual. Regardless, it’s fixed now and the car also got a somewhat careless wash and vacuum treatment. It looks much better than it did before at any rate.
The week at home consisted of watching TechTV, playing Diablo II on my PowerBook (because I can), and eating around the diet my parents are on. The home cooking was still excellent but I didn’t get to have some of my favorites. I went out to eat with various members of family several times to several places, including Pizza Hut, Longhorn, and Outback Steakhouse. The last of the bunch was the best meal I had while I was home. In one trip to Wiregrass Commons mall we found a nice new pair of shoes at a great price (75% off) and I bought a couple used anime DVDs at Wherehouse Music.
The week preceding Spring Break was another typical week of classes. Notable events included getting checked off on ECE3055 Lab #3 and meeting with a graduate TA to discuss the rough draft of the Mathcad tutorial we have to write for ECE3041.
