Another day, another DDR milestone. I passed MAX 300 on Heavy for the first time tonight. It’s the one song I’ve been ultimately working toward for months. I’m sure the grade will improve over time as well. I suppose it’s as good a time as any to open a DDR section on my page. It’s for me to keep track of my progress more than for readers to be entertained by.

I’ve also been on a creativity binge of sorts recently. I’ve been running the Blackbox window manager as an alternative to the default Explorer for several months now as you might have noticed. I’ve always been somewhat of an aesthetics geek, hence the desktops. I was becoming increasingly frustrated with the relative difficulty of finding visual styles, wallpapers, and Blackbox themes that would all match. Eventually it dawned on me that the Blackbox theme format is actually quite simple. It involves no graphics design, simply a good eye for aesthetics. I decided to try my hand at making a theme to match one of my other styles. Well, it turned out I was right. It is quite easy to whip up a Blackbox theme that will nicely complement the look of the rest of your system. It didn’t stop there either. Over the past five days I’ve averaged a new theme a day. All designed to complement an existing skin set. I hope to open a section dedicated to Blackbox to house these new creations.

It wasn’t a terribly exciting week as far as school goes. I got to work with a cute chick in Biology lab on Monday. I had the longest ECE3041 lab yet this Wednesday. I don’t think anyone was actually finished when the three hours were up. It was rather amusing though when fifteen people were all trying to use one printer at once and someone managed to keep stalling the queue.

Today I had my first ECE3041 lecture exam. The professor explicitly told the class exactly what each question would be like so there were no surprises. I think it went well. The worst thing that could happen would be if I screwed up with the calculator legwork since the professor also told us that partial credit is out.

Nicky claimed he saw an R&B star along with an entourage on the side of South Atlanta Road on the way to school Tuesday. Oddly enough I passed by the same area only a short while early and saw nothing out of the ordinary. Oh well, I doubt I’m missing much. R&B isn’t my thing.
